It's nice to be loved.

Or at the very least, appreciated for something you've worked very hard to achieve.

My first novel, Icy Pavements has been reviewed on the "Speak Its Name" weblog. Of course I am prejudiced, but it really is such a 'pleased reader's' review that I was both overwhelmed and delighted at once.

The review is here.

  1. Quick question: What exactly is your proof that white people can't write black people? At the very least, if your going to be make that comment, show us some books on how to write for the black culture. Otherwise the comment was absolutely unnecessary and extremely out of date.

    1. I'm sorry, but I'm not sure what you are referring too. The term 'prejudiced' in this usage has absolutely nothing at all to do with race or skin color. Are we simply having a miscommunication?

      My intended usage was this:
prej·u·dice [prej-uh-dis] - any preconceived opinion or feeling, either favorable or unfavorable.

In this case, I have the preconceived opinion (as most authors would) that the book is good, since I am the one who wrote it.

I hope that clears up any confusion as to my intent.
